We believe every kid has what it takes. The mission and core beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs fuel our commitment to promoting safe, positive and inclusive environments for all. Boys & Girls Clubs of America supports all youth and teens –of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion –in reaching their full potential.
What We Offer
Our programs are designed to teach youth lifelong skills and values while providing a safe space to learn and grow. Our core program areas include academic, leadership, fitness, arts and health-focused activities. We train all of our staff members for their assigned program in order to educate and assist members to the best of their abilities.
Academic success
These programs are designed to support academic achievement through homework assistance, tutoring programs, along with literacy and STEM activities.
Healthy lifestyle
These programs develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors to nurture their well-being, set personal goals and grow into self-sufficient adults.
Character & leadership
These programs help youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills to participate the democratic process. Program participants also develop leadership skills and gain opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Teen initiatives
At the Boys & Girls of East Alabama, we always help our kids succeed in all aspects of their life. We know it takes caring mentors, a safe place, innovative, quality programs designed to empower youth to excel in school and lead healthy, productive lives. We do whatever it takes to ensure all kids have a great future.
