These programs are designed to support academic achievement through homework assistance, tutoring programs, along with literacy and STEM activities. Teens are encouraged to explore college and career opportunities. We want to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education or prepared to enter the workforce.
The Power Hour materials provide practical tips and best practices for recognition and incentives, behavior management, volunteer recruitment and training, collaboration with other organizations and use of technology and the Internet.
Diplomas to Degrees (d2D) is BGCA’s new college readiness program, provides a range of services to guide Club members as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success.
Summer Brain Gain
The Summer Brain Gain program consists of six weeks of fun, engaging, theme-based activities taking place throughout the summer. The main goal of the program is to diminish summer learning loss. The learning modules are divided into three distinct grade groups: elementary, middle school, and high school.
Brain Gain includes a mix of individual and small group activity, social-emotional or team-building exercises, Arts, English/Language Arts, writing, science and mathematics, outdoor activities and field trips, and a final product show or culminating event to which the public and families will be invited.
The goal of the Money Matters program is to promote financial responsibility among teens by building money management skills. Many young adults advance into adulthood without learning the necessary skills for financial independence and well-being.
DIY STEM program is in place to promote interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics among BGC Members.
REAL cents, REAL change
This learning series is designed to further enhance and empower teens through education, leadership, and philanthropy. Our objectives include gaining knowledge about personal finances, wealth stewardship, and philanthropic work as well as strengthening self-awareness, creativity, and time-management skills.
