We help teach young people to engage in positive behaviors, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults. Activity is a key element to overall health. Our programs develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.
Through the Triple Play experience, Club members ages 6-18 will be challenged to become healthy and active by learning new ways to eat nutritionally, manage stress, maintain physical fitness, and form positive relationships with peers. The comprehensive Triple Play initiative encompasses Mind, Body, and Soul and is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company and WellPoint Foundation.
The All Stars program helps local Clubs implement leagues of youth football, basketball, and cheerleading for Club members ages 6-18. These sports will foster an environment where members can learn good character and team-building skills, as well as athletic fundamentals.
Female club members are given a safe setting in which they can address health and social issues unique to them, while building the necessary skills to resist negative influences such as drugs, alcohol, and premature sexual activity.
SMART Girls is a health, fitness, and prevention/education initiative designed to improve girls’ self-esteem and promote healthy attitudes and lifestyles for years to come.
Passport to Manhood
The passage from boyhood to manhood is challenging, requiring adolescent males to understand and manage many issues and transitions. Passport to Manhood addresses critical issues that young men face during this time, such as ethics, decision-making, wellness, ideas about fatherhood, employment and careers, cooperation and conflict, diversity, relationships, and self-esteem.
